The 4^th Annual Northern Valley Career Expo is being held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks on November 4^th from 9:30am to 2:30pm.  It will be highlighting the manufacturing industry more this year as part of the Manufacturing Day events in North Dakota. 

This is a career awareness event which draws roughly 1,500 students from 29 high schools across Northeast North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota.  Students attend career seminars and tour a showcase floor where businesses have hands-on exhibits designed to engage students and demonstrate skills necessary to become future employees. The manufacturers involved in the event are:

General Equipment & Supplies manufacturers, sells, rents, and services heavy equipment for the construction, mining, oil exploration and municipal industries.

American Crystal Sugar is located in Moorhead, MN with factories in Hillsboro and Drayton, ND.  They manufacturer sugar from locally grown sugar beets.

Custom Aire does sheet metal fabrication for the commercial and residential HVAC industry.  In addition, this employee-owned company provides commercial service and mechanical construction, and environmentally responsible geothermal energy products.
