The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is driving manufacturers to look at "smarter" and more efficient ways of providing products to their customers. Introducing different technologies into the manufacturing plant will address the new demands of customers, suppliers and regulators. The challenges of implementing Industrial Revolution 4.0 in your manufacturing plant will also introduce new exposures that traditionally haven't been present. We will discuss the impact of becoming a "smart manufacturer" addressing those new exposures that includes the manufacturing Internet of vulnerabilities.
Following the presentation, you will have a chance to participate in a Lab where you can experience collaborative robots, autonomous guided vehicles, and more.
About the Presenter:
Keith Deibert, Business Advisor (South Dakota Manufacturing & Technology Solutions)
Keith is a Business Advisor for South Dakota Manufacturing & Technology Solutions providing consulting services for South Dakota's Manufacturers. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career he has been an electronic design engineer, Plant Manager, Vice President of Operations, Corporate Director of Lean, President and has done consulting. He has focused his efforts in helping organization become Lean Enterprises. Keith spear heads MTS' automation lab to help small to medium sized manufactures to evaluate the risks and rewards of automation technologies and their operational impacts and business advantages.
