Lean Enterprise Certification Program

Dakota MEP will be offering a Lean Enterprise Certification Program in Fargo beginning September 10, 2012. This is the only nationally certified and recognized program for Lean Certification in the country and is applicable for manufacturers and non-manufacturers.

Participants will receive a Lean Knowledge Certificate, and, as a recommended option, prove their proficiencies by passing the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Bronze Level Certificate Examination. The program also includes an on-site Lean Enterprise assessment prior to the start of the program.

There are three options to choose from:

Option 1:

Lean Enterprise Course with Lean Bronze Exam plus Project Portfolio Assistance, with Two Kaizen Blitzes - Program dates begin in September. Additional dates will be chosen for 48 hours of project work. Portfolio Guidance for up to three months from exam date.

Option 2:
Lean Enterprise Course with Lean Bronze Exam and Company Kaizen Blitz training - Program dates begin in September.

Option 3:
Lean Enterprise Course with Company Kaizen Blitz training - Program dates begin in September.

Note: One additional company kaizen blitz is included with any option if there are four or more attendees from the same company. Option 1 includes two company kaizen blitzes, regardless of company attendance, and also includes project portfolio guidance.

  • September 10- Session 1 - Principles of Lean with Factory Simulation
  • September 17 - Session 2 - 5S Workplace Organization/High Performance Teams
  • October 1- Session 3 - Company Kaizan
  • October 15 - Session 4 - Standarized Work/ Quick Changeover & Total Productive Maintenance
  • October 29 - Session 5 - Company Kaizan
  • November 12 - Session 6 - Pull Kanban/Cellular Flow
  • November 26 - Session 7 - Value Stream Mapping & Processing Mapping/Problem Solving
  • December 3 - Session 8 - Lean Bronze Exam — Options 1 and 2 only
  • TBD - Company Kaizens (48 Hours - 3, 2 day projects) — Option 1 only
  • Ongoing - Portfolio Guidance for up to three months — Option 1 only
