Impact Dakota Hosting Cybersecurity Risk Management Workshops
Impact Dakota will be hosting Cybersecurity Risk Management Workshops across North Dakota, May 23-25, 2023. (Grand Forks, May 23, Fargo, May 24, Dickinson, May 25)
These one-day workshops will provide awareness and education for anyone who is interested in reducing their cybersecurity risks! They aren’t only for those who are currently, or wanting to become, government contractors.
If you are concerned about, or want to learn more on the following topics, this workshop is for you:
- Loss of intellectual property (yours, your employees, your customers, and your suppliers/partners)?
- Disruptions to your customers and your production due to ransomware attacks?
- Insurance requirements regarding due diligence in reducing risks and protecting your IT systems vulnerabilities?
- How do CMMC 2.0, DFARS Clauses, and NIST SP 800-171 impact you?
The workshops will address these concerns and provide a road map and implementation tools and teach you how to use them to secure your information.
Jodie Mjoen, President/CEO of Impact Dakota says, “This is our third round of these popular Cybersecurity resiliency workshops Impact Dakota and our partner Iviry have delivered in North Dakota and every time we’ve done one it really opens everyone’s eyes on three things:
1. Just an awesome IT person and a firewall are not at all adequate to protect your company.
2. Just how straight forward and easier it is to significantly reduce risks and increase resiliency than they thought.
3. It costs less than they thought it would or what they were quoted from open consultants.
We’ve helped North Dakota manufacturers after a cybersecurity breach with forensics and remediation and we’ve helped them with compliance implementation prior to a breach. The cost of the preventative verses the recovery is just pennies on the dollars, no doubt!”
“Public companies, investment managers, and customers should do everything they can to strengthen their cybersecurity, and it all starts by understanding how hackers and scammers operate. I thank Impact Dakota and its partners for providing access to cybersecurity training and risk management education through these workshops.” – Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND)
“The North Dakota Department of Commerce is grateful for its partnership with Impact Dakota, which is making a difference for our North Dakota businesses. Impact Dakota's entry into cybersecurity and risk reduction is a perfect response to ever-changing market conditions. Our manufacturers are asked to compete globally, and the global economy requires additional tools and knowledge sets to not only compete, but to limit risk. Impact Dakota's cybersecurity programming is exactly what will help our manufacturers compete globally and is the perfect extension of Commerce's service to the state's business community.” – Josh Teigen, Commissioner of Commerce, ND Department of Commerce
“The Cybersecurity Workshops provide all companies with a proven framework to better defend against the rapidly growing cybersecurity threats that represent “here and now” risks to financial and intellectual property assets.” – Randy Delarm, Iviry
