Task Manufacturing Becomes ISO 9001:2008 Certified and Increases Sales by 15%

Task Manufacturing

Located in Wyndmere, North Dakota, Task Manufacturing was founded in 2000 by Matt Thompson, who obtained his education in manufacturing engineering, and accrued years of experience as a welder, fabricator, machinist, mechanic, and engineer. Along with his extensive work experience, and education; Matt’s agricultural, industrial and motorsports background has been extremely helpful when helping clients.

Since the beginnings of its operations, Task Manufacturing has recruited and hired a highly-skilled team of welders certified in MIG, TIG, and PULSED MIG welding. All of their welding is performed to the highest standards for aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Because of their experienced staff and advanced manufacturing technologies, size and complexity are not limiting factors.  They have done prototype and production machining, as well as fabrication and mechanical assembly for customers throughout the country.

Their plant has over 13,000 square feet, and includes specialized shop stations for fabrication, machining, and paint. They understand that welding is one piece of the manufacturing process, and have expanded their scalable plant to efficiently handle CNC machining, high definition plasma cutting, oxy fuel cutting, sawing, paint, and mechanical assembly activities.

Desired to Become ISO Registered to Expand Market Opportunity

Task Manufacturing wanted to expand its machining business and felt that becoming ISO registered was vital in order to achieve this goal.

ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The solution was to implement ISO 9001:2008 at Task Manufacturing over a six month period. Impact Dakota provided the funding and the services in helping Task Manufacturing become an ISO 9001:2008 registered company.

15% Increase in Sales from Key Clientele

This certification helped Task Manufacturing to easily pass client audits for quality and timeline assurance. It also helped them write an organizational guideline that all company employees can refer to. In addition, ISO certification allowed Task Manufacturing to increase sales with their key clientele an additional 15 percent.

“As a small manufacturer in rural North Dakota we are so thankful for the services that Impact Dakota provided for us. With their help we were able to become ISO registered which will open the door to many new clients and future growth of our company. We gained many new organizational skills during this process. They were also of great assistance in helping us develop a new marketing plan and website; both very beneficial to our company.”
